With the advantages of high dust removal efficiency, stable operation, reliability, intelligent control and low energy consumption, pulse dust collectors have become core equipment for flue gas purification and dust control in the power industry, especially in thermal power plants. They help power production achieve ultra-low emissions, safe operation, energy conservation and efficiency improvement.
Dust generated in the power industry features high concentration, fine particle size, high temperature and complex composition. Traditional electrostatic precipitators and water dust collectors can no longer meet stringent environmental protection standards. Equipped with PTFE membrane filter materials, pulse dust collectors achieve a filtration efficiency of over 99.9% for fine particles as small as 0.1 μm. In the coal handling system, coal transportation, crushing and screening produce dense, flammable and explosive dust. Pulse dust collectors realize real-time dust control. After renovation in the coal handling workshop of a thermal power plant in Hebei, the workshop dust concentration dropped from 200 mg/m³ to 8 mg/m³, recovering 720 kilograms of coal powder per hour. The renovation saves more than one million yuan in fuel costs annually, eliminates dust explosion risks and greatly improves the working environment.
Pulse dust collectors are equipped with intelligent control systems. Sensors monitor pressure, temperature, dust concentration and other operating parameters in real time. The system automatically adjusts the cleaning cycle and injection pressure to realize compartment offline dust cleaning, avoiding emission fluctuations caused by full-unit shutdowns. After application in a cogeneration power plant, the annual equipment failure downtime was reduced from 50 hours to less than 10 hours, ensuring continuous power production. In addition, the low-pressure pulse cleaning technology reduces energy consumption by more than 30% and extends the service life of filter bags to five years, effectively lowering operation and maintenance costs.
At present, pulse dust collectors are widely used in boiler flue gas dedusting, coal handling system dust treatment and biomass boiler flue gas purification, becoming the mainstream solution for environmental upgrading in the power industry. With increasingly strict environmental policies and continuous technological innovation, pulse dust collectors will develop toward higher efficiency, intelligence and integration, providing solid technical support for the green and low-carbon transformation of the power industry.
